The 11th International Conference on Cognitive Neuroscience (ICON XI) was held on 25-29 September 2011 in Mallorca (Spain), and featured an intense scientific program with 9 keynote lectures, 24 symposia including over 100 speakers, and 4 poster sessions totalling over 500 poster communications. The meeting was attended by circa 750 cognitive neuroscientists from 34 countries, and another 120 people also joined one of the four pre-ICON workshops the previous days.
On behalf of the organizers, I would like to thank you all for your enthusiasm and outstanding contributions that made this conference such a memorable event.
We hope to have reached our aims to foster the exchange and dissemination of high-level scientific research in various areas of cognitive neuroscience in the friendly and relaxed atmosphere of the isle of Mallorca. If you haven't done so already, you may still send us your feedback to help improve the organization of the next ICON meeting. This web page will be soon be updated with a photo gallery of ICON XI, so please send us your own pictures of the event.
Finally, I would like to remind you that the General Assembly of ICON voted for Brisbane, Australia as the venue for ICON XII in 2014. The conference will be jointly organized by the groups of Drs.
